Fishy Dice

I’m usually not a Backgammon conspiracy theorist, but I’ve been playing this app for awhile now and it’s been increasingly difficult not to notice that there’s something strange going on. I seem to consistently see more improbable, unlucky dice rolling while playing against the computer in this app than in any other.

Further adding to my suspicion is my experience with the “Random.org rolls” option in the Settings. I noticed once while playing this app during an internet outage that it was somehow able to still get rolls from internet, despite not having an internet connection. The setting was still turned and I didn’t receive any type of error message.

It’s unfortunate because this is otherwise a good app. Its major flaw is that it frequently gives the impression that you’re being beat by the dice rather than by good play.
