Backgammon Gold App Reviews

The game board is a bit confusing with the pieces a bit too small and the behavior some times confusing leading to loss of time. Also sometimes dice spin for too long wasting players time. Otherwise it is a good game that I recommend especially to play with other human beings.

What a big mistake was done at this version! This game was great and now is terrible! The moves are not natural as before and the lauyout was a nice try, but got wrong! :/ Looking for another app!

This was the best backgammon app ever! Unfortunately this new version became awful! A really wrong move.

Before was a very, very good game. Now, the Ramdom dices are a joke and moviment terrible.

Now its a little bit slow to search a game and accept. Seems lime a bug!

Would love to hear a bell when a match is detected. This way I could concentrate on other stuff instead of having to keep looking at the screen, often for many minutes

Great game but it crashes ALL THE TIME my elo (online score) has gone down drastically because it crashes on you then lowers your score like you quit the game on purpose... Very frustrating at the end of some games where I was just about to win...

Game designer needs to understand that difficulty level of game cannot be accomplished by "loading" dice in computers favor. It must be done through quality of play. Perfect roll anticipation and excessive doubles for the computer is not right and it ruins the game. Fix this and youll have a great app. Leave as is and it gets 2 stars.

Great game but dice are not random roles to my mind......

In online play the app would freeze about 15-20% of the time (Dice would roll until your time was out, or it just wouldnt let you make a move). Infuriating especially when you are winning. In addition the roles were definately not random when playing the computer.

This is a truly really good version and excellent at teaching me. Has a ton of levels for every skill set as well.

I have the latest version but it always freezes or tells you youve timed out and boots you mid-game. Frustrating to say the least. It affects your score and your "abandoned" percentage and then no-one wants to play against you. Try other backgammon apps instead.

I havent played against online players yet, only the computer but I can tell already that this version is way better than another backgammon I had loaded. Random dice are fair & doesnt crash. Many thanks to the programmers.

I know some people have said the dice are fair but I could not disagree more. Evrytime I leave a man open after the easy stage, it gets taken, practically without fail. Also saw 4 double roles in a row in favour of the computer, 5 during his attempt to get out. How many times have you seen that happen in real lif? Nice set up, good UI, but frustrating at higher levels offline

At one time enjoyed this game, it seemed fair and competitive. Recently dice seem to only work against me. Lose almost every game playing on lower skill level than I used to play on. Deleted it.
